High-quality bedding in sandy environments

A farm using recycled manure bedding in a very sandy environment can significantly enhance bedding quality and system performance by integrating a pasteurizer.

By eliminating solar drying and windrowing, the Xpress PS helps limit the reintroduction of environmental sand into the stalls, resulting in a cleaner, lighter, and easier-to-rake bedding material. By reducing sand content in both the bedding and flush water, the Xpress PS also minimizes equipment wear, lowers maintenance requirements, and helps extend the lifespan of the entire system.

In addition, it reduces loader use and labor hours while producing a more consistent bedding product with significantly less dust compared to traditional bedding methods.

Pasteurization process

• The fiber enters the Xpress PS and passes through a carefully controlled aerobic process.
• The bedding is mixed and heated to a temperature of 65°C / 149°F to 70°C / 158°F for at least 60 minutes to achieve true pasteurization.
• In addition to the reduction or elimination of pathogens through pasteurization, the bedding exiting the Xpress PS is also now drier.

Easily store your recycled bedding

Upon exiting the pasteurizer, the recycled bedding can be stored in a Bedding Box. This is the perfect choice for automated distribution system.
